Z-PROPERTY

Z-PROPERTY is ZestyAI's property intelligence product for property and casualty insurers. Incomplete or inaccurate property data leads to mispriced risk, avoidable losses and costly on-site inspections. Z-PROPERTY replaces much of that work with structure- and parcel-level attributes derived from imagery.

ZestyAI applies more than 90 computer-vision models, including its Digital Roof 3D roof reconstruction, to high-resolution orthogonal, oblique and 3D aerial imagery sourced from multiple imagery providers. It combines the results with building permits, tax assessment data and other property records. ZestyAI's press releases also say Z-PROPERTY uses satellite imagery, but they name no satellite or supplier. The outputs cover more than 70 attributes for about 150 million U.S. residential and commercial properties. They include a five-class roof condition model (staining, ponding, missing shingles, tarps), roof material, shape, pitch and facets, building count and secondary structures, vegetation overhang, pools, trampolines, solar panels, debris and lot slope. Change detection flags material changes, such as a new pool, solar panels or debris, before renewal. For reinsurance, secondary modifiers are mapped to catastrophe models.

Insights are delivered in batches, through an API that returns results in under a second per property, or in the Z-VIEW web application, and they work with Guidewire and Duck Creek. ZestyAI reports 95% agreement with on-site inspections and a 2–4 point improvement in loss ratio. Named users include West Bend, Southern Oak, VYRD, Horace Mann and Farmers & Mechanics Insurance.
