WebVis Platform is a subscription web platform from Visiona Tecnologia Espacial, the Brazilian space systems company formed as a joint venture of Embraer Defense & Security and Telebras. It gives users of remote-sensing imagery on-demand access to recent high- and very-high-resolution satellite images from several sensors and operators through one interface. Visiona describes itself as an official distributor ('Distribuidor oficial') of Vantor (WorldView) and Airbus (Pléiades) imagery, which is available for download or streaming through WebVis.
The catalogue covers commercial and government satellites with spatial resolutions from 30 cm to 30 m: SPOT 6/7, Pléiades 1A/1B and Pléiades Neo, WorldView-1 to WorldView-4, GeoEye-1, Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Landsat 4/5, 7 and 8, and CBERS-4. Users draw or upload an area of interest in several formats over a basemap, preview images at full resolution, and then either stream them at full resolution or download them after choosing the file format and projection. A temporal-analysis tool helps identify changes between dates, areas of interest can be monitored with recent imagery, and a dashboard tracks the account's consumption.
The platform is developed and operated exclusively by Visiona and, according to the provider, can be integrated with the main GIS tools on the market. It is sold by subscription in streaming and/or download modes, with prices given by Visiona's sales team. Visiona also uses WebVis to deliver imagery, alerts and change-detection results for its services to municipalities and the energy sector, and presents it for agribusiness, forestry, environment, infrastructure and government users.
