WATCOR-X is standalone Windows desktop software from EOMAP, a Fugro company, that lets hydrographic offices and navies produce satellite-derived bathymetry (SDB) in-house, including in secured environments. It addresses the time and risk of measuring shallow waters on site: users define an area of interest anywhere in the world, ingest optical multispectral satellite imagery (WorldView-2 is among the sensors its interface offers) and run EOMAP's physics-based SDB processing, an inversion of the radiative transfer equation that models how light passes through the atmosphere and water column. Unlike empirical SDB methods, it does not need site-specific calibration data, although existing survey data can be supplied for calibration or validation. It maps from the shoreline to about one Secchi disc depth, supports multi-scene and multi-core processing, and gives full workflow control with access to intermediate atmospheric and reflectance products. Results are delivered as ASCII XYZQ point clouds and GeoTIFFs with ISO 19139 metadata, and depth uncertainties are expressed as LE90 confidence limits: 0.5 m LE90 in ideal conditions with on-site information, typically 0.5 to 1.0 m LE90 without it. WATCOR-X is licensed exclusively to governmental agencies and organisations; every licence includes capacity building, ongoing support, software updates with new sensors, and access to EOMAP's SWIFT image finder. The Royal Australian Navy was its first licensee, Indonesia's hydrographic office Pushidrosal also uses it, and navies and hydrographic offices have used it since 2019.
