Voice of the Acre® is Athena Intelligence's geospatial wildfire risk platform. It targets a gap the provider describes in conventional hazard maps: they show where risk is elevated, but not which assets, acres or properties to act on first, or how much a mitigation changes the risk.
The platform ingests models and datasets from government and academic sources (the provider calls the US Forest Service Wildfire Hazard Potential foundational), satellite imagery, climate trends, fuel moisture indices and historical burn patterns, and uses machine learning to turn them into conditional "geo-profiles" of the landscape. Risk is evaluated at 30-metre resolution as a rolling 12-month forward view, updated quarterly. Outputs include a six-class risk class, a 2–10 risk score, and the probability and odds that a significant wildfire could affect a location within the next 12 months if one starts nearby, with proximity analysis within 1,000 yards of a property. Utility and community layers add 30 m mitigation tiers, rate-of-spread estimates and treatment-scenario modelling.
A four-class screening layer covers the 48 contiguous US states; property-level profiles cover twelve western states. Delivery is through an API and a self-serve web portal with interactive maps and GIS downloads.
Athena reports utility customers in six states and says utilities in three states use the platform as the foundation of their Wildfire Mitigation Plans. Its insurance page carries a testimonial from Bridge Specialty & One80 Intermediaries, with which Athena says it is collaborating on a wildfire insurance programme for commercial properties. Athena reports more than 38,000 fire-behaviour profiles across the western United States; in September 2026 CitroTech and Athena announced a partnership that maps fire-inhibitor performance data onto those profiles.

Athena Intelligence
Athena Intelligence is a geospatial risk intelligence company that converts environmental data into wildfire risk intelligence for utilities, insurers and communities. Its Voice of the Acre platform integrates environmental and wildfire data (vegetation and fuel characteristics, weather, moisture, topography) into conditional geo-profiles, from property level to regional landscapes. The profiles are used to understand what drives wildfire risk, prioritise mitigation and quantify how risk changes over time.
