Visiona Soluções Geográficas is a satellite-based change-detection service from Visiona Tecnologia Espacial, the Brazilian space company set up as a joint venture of Embraer Defense & Security and Telebras. It is sold in two editions, one for municipalities and one for the energy sector, for organisations that must watch large areas for unplanned or unauthorised change and prefer to receive simple, direct findings rather than raw imagery.
The service analyses satellite imagery from Visiona's multi-constellation portfolio, with different spatial resolutions and high revisit rates, and points out the places where changes were detected. Three native detection classes are available: new buildings, vegetation suppression and exposed soil; further classes are available on request. Customers receive alerts whenever relevant changes are found, and results are delivered through Visiona's WebVis web platform, which can be integrated with mainstream GIS tools.
For changes the standard classes do not cover, Visiona offers custom projects by its remote-sensing and GIS specialists.
