Temperature API® is FortyGuard's developer API for hyperlocal temperature data. A weather API describes atmospheric conditions around a place; this API adds local physical context and thermal modelling, returning modelled temperature for a user-defined area, asset or route, for use inside third-party software, GIS platforms and data workflows.
Its outputs come from FortyGuard's Large Temperature Models (LTMs), which assemble ground observations, weather stations, satellite and remote-sensing data, terrain, land cover and geometry to estimate, downscale and forecast air temperature two metres above ground. Requests are asynchronous REST calls authenticated with an API key. Endpoints cover heatmap generation for a GeoJSON polygon at 60, 80 or 100 m granularity (historical from 2019, current, and forecasts up to 12 hours ahead), returned as GeoJSON tiles with summary statistics; environmental parameters such as heat index, wet-bulb temperature, air quality and solar irradiance; segmentation of satellite imagery into land-cover, building and vegetation classes; street-view segmentation; Heat Intelligence reports; and temperature-aware routing.
The current release accepts coordinates within the United States only. The Basic plan ($79/month) and Pro plan ($289/month) include monthly API credits, with bulk credit packs available and Enterprise terms on request. Eligible startups can apply for up to six months of free access through FortyGuard's Startup API Program.

FortyGuard
FortyGuard models how temperature behaves at the level of sites, assets and operations and delivers that intelligence through software, APIs and agent tools. Its Large Temperature Models combine ground observations, weather, satellite and remote-sensing inputs with terrain, land cover and customer data to estimate, forecast and simulate local thermal conditions. It sells four products on the same models: Temperature Dashboard, Temperature API, Temperature MCP and Temperature Enterprise.
