SYNERGIE-WEB is a forecasting workstation from Meteo France International (MFI), co-developed with Météo-France, for the weather, marine and aviation forecasters of national meteorological and hydrological services. It brings observations, satellite imagery, radar products and multi-model numerical weather prediction (NWP) data into one fully web-based operational platform, so forecasters can analyse a situation in one place and turn it into authoritative forecasts and CAP-compliant warnings.
Forecasters work in customised multi-layer views and forecasting macros, and hazard watches use configurable thresholds to flag dangerous weather situations automatically. Aviation configurations add functions such as TAF production and control and SIGMET maps. Collaborative workflows support shift handover, operational coordination and nationwide forecasting, and MFI markets its METEOFACTORY warning and public-weather production system as powered by SYNERGIE-WEB.
MFI usually delivers SYNERGIE-WEB on the customer's own servers as part of turnkey modernisation projects that include system integration, training and technical support. Deployments include Indonesia's BMKG (47 client workstations across headquarters, 33 provinces and 5 airports in the project's second phase), Angola's INAMET (Luanda headquarters) and ASECNA's SAAPI nowcasting and briefing solution for West Africa and Madagascar, with further installations under way in modernisation projects for Côte d'Ivoire's SODEXAM and Kuwait's DGCA Meteorological Department.
