SuperVision Pipeline is a monitoring service from SuperVision Earth (Darmstadt, Germany) for operators of high-pressure pipelines, which are often buried and exposed to third-party construction, geohazards and agricultural activity, and which have traditionally been checked by helicopter flights, patrols and manual inspections. The system analyses recent satellite imagery from several sources with proprietary AI models, optionally adding high-resolution drone imagery flown with partner Beagle Systems. Each detection is checked by the company's Earth-observation experts before it is issued. A study of the product's AI by SuperVision Earth and TU Darmstadt, published in Remote Sensing in 2024, used 3 m PlanetScope imagery and transformer-based change-detection models.
Operators onboard by supplying a standard digital file of their pipeline network. Georeferenced threat warnings appear in a web-GIS application, where staff can review satellite and drone imagery, update event status and see an event's history. Results can also be exported as PDF reports, tables, Google Maps links and GIS files (shapefile, GeoTIFF, CSV, KML, GeoJSON).
The product was co-funded under ESA's InCubed programme, which reports it as market-ready since January 2024 with a long-term contract with a German pipeline operator. SuperVision Earth names HanseGas, a gas network operator with more than 1,000 km of pipeline in northern Germany, as a customer that replaced helicopter flights with the service. Entega AG, quoted on the product page, says the service reliably monitored construction works on its pipeline infrastructure using high-resolution satellite data, and the company cites 16 pilot studies of the technology. The company states the approach is 99% more carbon-efficient than helicopter monitoring.

SuperVision Earth
SuperVision Earth is a Darmstadt company, established in 2019 after an ESA hackathon, that provides location intelligence for real-time monitoring, using AI to analyse satellite and, optionally, drone imagery. Its products include SuperVision Pipeline, which detects construction, geohazards and other threats along pipeline networks, and SuperVision EUDR, which delivers deforestation risk analysis of commodity suppliers for EU Deforestation Regulation compliance. Customers order and view results on its SVX web platform as reports, dashboards and alerts.
