StriX Data is Synspective's synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery from its own constellation of 100 kg-class StriX satellites, for users who need to observe the ground day and night and through rain, smoke and cloud. Each satellite carries a 9.65 GHz X-band radar with VV polarisation. Synspective launched its 13th StriX satellite in September 2026 and is building a constellation of more than 30.
Buyers choose between Stripmap (nominal 20 km swath, 3.6 m ground range resolution) for wide areas, Sliding Spotlight (0.9 m or 0.46 m ground range), and Staring Spotlight modes down to 0.25 m azimuth resolution, plus a Spotlight Enhanced mode that applies 3-look multilooking to suppress speckle. Products come at five processing levels: CPHD phase history, SLC for interferometry and change detection (CEOS or SICD format), GRD, Super-Resolution GRD, and terrain-corrected ORT in sigma-naught or gamma-naught, the last three delivered as GeoTIFF + XML (COG).
Data is ordered through Synspective's sales team or the Synspective Data Platform, whose archive search, tasking and STAC-based API services are currently offered on a limited basis. As an official JAXA partner, Synspective also supplies L-band ALOS-4 data. Synspective is a partner company in Japan's Ministry of Defense Satellite Constellation Project, under a subcontract for small-SAR imagery data running to March 2031.
