SpaceEye-T is a very-very-high-resolution (VVHR) commercial optical Earth observation satellite, developed and funded by Satrec Initiative and operated by its subsidiary SI Imaging Services (SIIS). Launched on 15 March 2025 into a 500 km sun-synchronous orbit, it collects native 25 cm panchromatic and 1 m four-band multispectral imagery (blue, green, red and near-infrared) over a 12 km swath, with a stated collection capability of 300,000 km² per day. SIIS says this detail is enough to distinguish vehicle types. Imaging modes include strip, single-pass stereo and tri-stereo (for DSM/DEM), wide-area and inclined-strip imaging along corridors such as pipelines and coastlines.
Buyers have two access routes. Satellite-as-a-Service (Sat-aaS) leases dedicated capacity over a reserved region ("One Region, One User"), with autonomous mission planning, user encryption keys for uplink and downlink, and full data ownership. Tasking-as-a-Service (T-aaS) offers first-come, first-served assured tasking and access to a global archive of existing SpaceEye-T collections, with web and API access; the imagery is licensed under CC BY 4.0. SIIS describes the satellite as ITAR-free. Products come in DIMAP V2 folders as GeoTIFF or JPEG2000, in sensor, projected or orthorectified geometry and with basic or reflectance radiometry, for use in GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, ENVI and ERDAS. SIIS names defence and intelligence, mapping, infrastructure monitoring, agriculture and disaster monitoring as applications.
SIIS has announced Sat-aaS contracts with undisclosed customers, including a multi-year lease to a European customer worth a double-digit million euros (September 2025). The imagery is also sold through partners including Geoimage and the SkyFi platform; free 25 cm sample data is published on the AWS Registry of Open Data.
