SoilMate is a pay-per-use geoanalytics web service that runs ready-made AI and index models on satellite imagery. A user draws an area of interest in the browser portal or submits it through a REST API, picks an analytics model and dates, and receives mapped results: rasters, GeoJSON polygons and area statistics.
The catalogue covers agriculture (NDVI index, Crop Type, Plot boundary, Blooming index, Moisture index), forestry (deforestation/afforestation detection, Net Forest Carbon Sequestration) and general analytics (Oil leak, Basic Objects), plus a LandUse/LandCover option that displays Esri's 10 m Sentinel-2 land-cover layer for a chosen year. Most models work on Sentinel-2 optical imagery at 10 m per pixel. Crop Type combines 10 to 30 Sentinel-1 radar and Sentinel-2 scenes over a four-month season and is offered for the United States and Europe. Plot boundary covers the United States, Europe, the Mediterranean and Australia, and Net Forest Carbon Sequestration covers Europe only; the other Sentinel-based models are offered worldwide. Net Forest Carbon Sequestration estimates biomass from Sentinel-2 with the 3-PG forest growth model and compares carbon between two years as a basis for carbon-removal certification. Oil leak flags persistent near-surface moisture anomalies consistent with hydrocarbon contamination. Basic Objects detects buildings, vehicles, aircraft and vessels on a single Planet SkySat scene from the user's own Planet order.
Satellite models are priced from $5 per km² (LandUse/LandCover) to $200 per km² (forest carbon), for areas up to 1,000 km² (Basic Objects runs on one 36 km² SkySat scene), with stated thematic accuracies of about 87–98%. The service launched in open test mode in July 2023 with a free one-month trial. SoilMate also builds custom models on request. The catalogue additionally lists a Stone detection model, priced at $250 per km², that works on tractor-camera video rather than satellite imagery.

SoilMate
SoilMate offers geoanalytics as a service: users define an area of interest in a browser portal or through an API and run ready-made AI models on remote sensing data, paying per request by area analysed. Its model catalogue covers agriculture (NDVI, crop type, plot boundary, blooming and moisture indices, stone detection), forestry (deforestation and afforestation, net forest carbon sequestration) and general mapping (basic objects, land use/land cover, oil leak), and it also develops custom models on request.
