Smart Port Solution

Qianxun Spatial Intelligence's Smart Port Solution (港机精准定位与智能管理解决方案, precise positioning and intelligent management of port machinery) gives container terminals real-time, centimetre-level positions for their cranes and container trucks. Qianxun frames the problem as port machines and trucks that are numerous and widely spread, with no operating data analysis or means of dispatching them.

The solution has three layers. A spatio-temporal infrastructure layer combines a high-precision map of the port with BeiDou ground-based augmentation positioning facilities that give every GNSS terminal in the port area centimetre-level accuracy, plus positioning terminals fitted to cranes and trucks. A location middle platform (FindS) handles terminal management, real-time positions, track history, electronic fences and events, and offers APIs for position, fence and event data. On top, a port machinery management platform built on Qianxun's digital-twin map supports dispatching, safety supervision (speeding, no-entry and RTG crossing alerts), operations analysis and maintenance warnings. Qianxun states that truck arrival information is pushed in real time to the terminal operating system and that automatic RTG steering correction reaches ±5 cm.

Qianxun reports that operational availability rose from 70% to 98%. Named deployments include Yangshan Port, where its centimetre positioning supported autonomous container trucks platooning at gaps down to 10 m on the 72 km round trip over the Donghai Bridge; the Meishan area of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, where it delivered a BeiDou high-precision positioning and location-data system for lane-level supervision and bay-level dispatch; a full BeiDou high-precision upgrade of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port's Beilun No.2 Container Terminal, where gantry cranes are operated remotely from a control room using Qianxun's positioning terminals and port equipment location-monitoring platform; an external-truck management system at Tianjin Port; and positioning and steering-correction tests for the automation upgrade at Yingkou Port in Liaoning.
