deeeper.technology's Site Intelligence for Energy Projects assesses where onshore wind farms, ground-mount and rooftop solar, large battery storage (BESS) and hydrogen electrolysers can be built in Germany. The provider's premise is that such projects rarely fail on technology but on missing data, regulatory uncertainty and grid access, so resource, grid capacity, land availability, permitting law and economics have to be assessed together.
The analysis combines deep-learning land-use classification from Sentinel-2 satellite imagery and 0.2 m aerial orthophotos with official geodata: ALKIS cadastral parcels, regional-plan priority areas, protected areas, state-specific setback rules, grid-operator data on substations and congestion, and the national register of energy installations (MaStR). Wind and solar yields are estimated from 20 years of ERA5 reanalysis data. Depending on the technology, modules cover noise and shadow-flicker forecasts, turbine placement, grid-connection capacity, CAPEX/OPEX, LCOE and IRR, a 15-year cash-flow model for storage, and water supply, waste heat and offtake for electrolysers. Rooftop PV leads come from AI roof detection on aerial imagery of more than 50 million buildings.
Each project is delivered as a Site Intelligence Report (PDF) and an interactive browser-based web map with switchable layers and Shapefile, GeoJSON and KML export; the provider states an average delivery time of five days. It reports more than 500 wind sites and 5,000 ground-mount PV sites analysed, and a reference project in which more than 1,000 candidate wind sites were screened in under four weeks for one of the world's largest wind operators, leading to a 50-site shortlist of over 2 GW. deeeper.technology won a regional Copernicus Masters prize in 2021.

deeeper.technology
deeeper.technology is a Rostock-based company that provides AI-supported geodata analysis for site decisions. It combines deep learning on aerial and satellite imagery with official geodata such as cadastre, regional plans and grid-operator data, and with regulatory information, and delivers the results as a Site Intelligence Report and an interactive web map. Its work covers wind, solar, battery-storage and hydrogen sites, data-centre and production sites, municipal heat and climate-adaptation planning, and real-estate portfolio screening, and it also sells deeeper energy maps, a subscription web map for renewable-energy project developers in Germany.
