SEonSE

SEonSE (Smart Eyes on the SEas) is e-GEOS's maritime situational-awareness platform and 24/7 near-real-time monitoring service for security, intelligence, law enforcement, border control, critical-infrastructure monitoring, marine-resource management, environmental protection and emergency response. Patrols and coastal sensors cannot watch large sea areas continuously, and vessels that switch off AIS drop out of cooperative tracking systems.

SEonSE fuses SAR and optical satellite imagery, including the COSMO-SkyMed and COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation radar constellations (for which e-GEOS is the exclusive licensee for commercial use) and Copernicus Sentinel-1, with AIS, VMS and LRIT positions, RF detections, vessel databases and met-ocean data. Using its Matera Space Centre and ground-station network, e-GEOS delivers reports within 15 to 30 minutes of data availability: ship detection and tracking (position, size, speed, heading, AIS identity, track history and aggregated risk assessment), dark-vessel and anomaly detection with configurable early-warning alerts, oil-spill detection with identification of the potential polluter where detectable, SAR-derived wind and wave maps, ice charting and maritime patterns-of-life analysis.

It is offered as a managed service (SEonSE as a Service, including maritime intelligence reporting, 24/7 satellite tasking and training) or installed at the customer's premises with customisation, training and operational support. The Italian Navy uses it under a four-year contract awarded in 2025, and Italy's Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security uses it to monitor the country's Marine Protected Areas.
