SatSure Skies

SatSure Skies is an aeronautical information management (AIM) platform for airport authorities, air navigation service providers (ANSPs) and airlines. It addresses fragmented, error-prone aeronautical data systems by digitising terrain, obstacle, route and aerodrome data in one validated platform that supports the move from Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) to AIM.

The platform is modular: Aerodrome Mapping (AMDB, compliant with RTCA DO-272), Electronic Terrain & Obstacle Data (eTOD), eAIP publication through an AIXM 5.1.1 engine, Airspace Use Plan (AUP) visualisation of restricted zones and conditional routes, ICAO-compliant electronic charting (eCharting), flight procedure design and digital NOTAM. Modules can be deployed independently or as a full stack, and the platform is described as API-first and AIXM/GML compatible for integration with existing AIM systems.

SatSure's geospatial engine integrates Earth-observation imagery, elevation models and asset data. The eTOD module, also listed as a SaaS product on AWS Marketplace, generates obstacle limitation surfaces under ICAO Annex 14 and identifies penetrating obstacles from ground survey data and high-resolution satellite imagery; users can import DSM/DTM/DEM files and export obstacle datasets as GeoJSON or Excel. Satellite-based obstacle data collection supports routine monitoring with less reliance on manual surveys, and CRC32Q checks protect data integrity.

The platform was first developed as iNetra under the Airports Authority of India (AAI) Startup Policy. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) uses SatSure Skies nationwide to digitise its AIM systems and manage over 9.5 million sq. km of airspace. SatSure reports deployment at 5 major Indian international airports, a 50% reduction in aeronautical charting turnaround time and 31% revenue growth at AAI after implementation.
