SatSure Sage is an agricultural lending intelligence platform from SatSure for banks, NBFCs and other financial institutions in India. Rural lenders have traditionally relied on field officers and paperwork to judge farm borrowers, which slows underwriting and leaves crop and climate risk in loan portfolios hard to see.
Sage combines Earth Observation (EO) satellite data with ground truth, agricultural analytics, climate indicators (rainfall, evapotranspiration, groundwater and temperature) and socio-economic layers such as road density, population and mandi access. Crop classification, acreage estimation, sowing and harvest forecasting, and crop health and yield tracking form its analytical base. The platform covers the agri-credit lifecycle: village- and branch-level rankings for sourcing and branch expansion; the SatSource Report for underwriting, with a Farm Credit Score that also serves new-to-credit borrowers; and farm-level monitoring that flags stress such as crop failure or delayed sowing so collection teams can prioritise field visits.
Sage is API-first and designed to integrate with core banking systems, loan origination systems, ERPs and CRMs. It also integrates with the RBIH-backed Unified Lending Interface (ULI) to combine farm-level insights with borrower credit history. Insights can also be delivered through dashboards and a mobile app for field staff. SatSure reports 2.1 million+ farmer plots analysed, 85 million hectares of agricultural area processed and 1.95 lakh villages monitored. In a published case study, an unnamed large Indian private-sector bank saw an average 100% improvement in resolution percentage in the first six months of using Sage.
