KPGeo, a geospatial company in Kraków, Poland, distributes satellite imagery from two operators. From SI Imaging Services (SIIS) it offers optical imagery from the KOMPSAT-2, KOMPSAT-3 and KOMPSAT-3A satellites, which together orbit the Earth about 15 times a day, and radar imagery from KOMPSAT-5. From SatVu it offers archived thermal imagery from HotSat-1.
The optical satellites capture one panchromatic band and four multispectral bands (blue, green, red and near-infrared). Panchromatic resolution is 1 m for KOMPSAT-2, 0.7 m for KOMPSAT-3 and 0.5 m for KOMPSAT-3A, with revisit times of 3–5 days for KOMPSAT-2 and 1–2 days for KOMPSAT-3 and 3A. KOMPSAT-5 carries a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) with a 1 m ground sample distance and a one-day revisit; it images through cloud, smoke and precipitation, by day and by night, over land and sea. HotSat-1 provides 3.5 m imagery in one thermal infrared band, recording relative temperature differences across a scene. The satellite is no longer operational, so only archive imagery is available.
KPGeo positions the imagery for agriculture, energy, natural resource management, defence and emergency response, and for uses including land development, agricultural monitoring, urban planning, disaster recovery, environmental monitoring and climate research. Orders and questions go to KPGeo's sales team; prices are not published.
