Millimetre-precision satellite InSAR monitoring for infrastructure and ground movement

remotIO (Retrieval of Motions and Potential Deformation Threats) is a fully managed, web-based infrastructure monitoring service that processes Sentinel-1 C-band radar imagery using Multi-Temporal InSAR (MT-InSAR) geodesy to deliver millimetre-precision displacement time series. The platform monitors buildings, bridges, dams, urban districts, landslides and subsidence-prone areas across hundreds of square kilometres simultaneously, with guaranteed observations every few days and historical coverage from 2014. Automated data-mining algorithms—including MCD outlier detection, space-partitioning and multivariate analysis—identify deformation anomalies and flag problematic zones in easy-to-interpret dashboards designed for non-expert users. Operated by insar.sk Ltd and backed by 24/7 geodesy expert support, remotIO removes the need for in-situ ground instrumentation and was developed under ESA PECS funding.
