Pulse is Atlas AI's subscription monitoring service for detecting physical change on the ground: new and demolished buildings, settlement growth, land use and roads. It runs on Atlas AI's Aperture geospatial AI engine and works from Earth observation data, currently Copernicus Sentinel-2 imagery, mapping whole regions and countries on one 10 m grid with the same method in every country and a consistent record back to 2016. Updates are monthly, quarterly or annual, and new construction is picked up from the foundation stage.
Buyers choose the areas to monitor, a package (Base: the built environment; Bundle: adds land use and land cover and the road network) and an update schedule, with optional history and add-ons such as population and economic estimates, building use, high-resolution imagery of detected change, joined third-party data such as parcels or permits, trend dashboards and custom models. Results are delivered as raster (GeoTIFF), vector (GeoJSON) and tables (CSV, Parquet). Atlas AI's documentation also describes ordering through a workflow in the Aperture web platform, with built-up index, change-detection and confidence layers delivered to the account dashboard or a cloud bucket; API access is announced as coming soon.
Atlas AI reports that in a peer-reviewed comparison its settlement data averaged an F1 score of 0.78 against 0.63 for the EU's Global Human Settlement Layer, leading in all eight areas tested across six countries. It names supply-chain firms, development agencies, investors, mapping companies and the public sector as users, and cites uses of its data with Airbus (airport catchment growth), Cassava Technologies (network planning in Zimbabwe) and Gavi and UNDP (immunization outreach).
