Property Analytics is Mapizy's web platform for parcel-level property intelligence. It is built for insurers, real-estate firms and home-service businesses that would otherwise rely on site visits or out-of-date property records.
Machine-learning models detect features on each land parcel from current imagery. Mapizy uses 5 cm aerial imagery, including Aerometrex's MetroMap library, for about 80% of the Australian urban environment, and high-resolution satellite imagery for properties in remote areas. It states a three-month currency for the imagery behind its analytics. In 2022 Mapizy announced access to very high resolution Airbus imagery to offer its property and change analytics beyond Australia.
The platform reports more than 30 attributes per property, including building area, roof shape, material and condition, solar panels, pools, sheds, tree and turf area, tree overhang and bushfire risk. It measures how these attributes changed between image dates. Insurers use this for underwriting and quoting, automated renewal checks and pre- and post-event claims assessment; real-estate users use it for valuation and property history.
Users work in the Mapizy Studio web application, export results as JSON, CSV or reports, integrate them through a developer API, and use the Analytics Engine to run analyses for large numbers of properties in one go. Mapizy launched the platform in 2021, and in 2019 its property analytics was awarded by Deloitte, IAG and RAA in the Gravity Challenge.
