Land acquisition teams typically assemble a site search from separate assessor records, GIS viewers, skip-tracing services, spreadsheets and CRMs. Pillar, from US-based Pillar Technologies (founded 2023), puts that workflow into one map-based platform for real estate developers, homebuilders, brokers and site-selection consultants. Users filter more than 160 million US parcels by geography, acreage, zoning, ownership and sale history, ask an AI agent for parcel lists in plain English, and screen sites against flood and wetland layers, contours, slope, infrastructure, demographics and land comps. Owner contacts come from skip tracing, and outreach, direct mail, projects and tasks are handled in a built-in CRM and deal pipeline.

The space input is Sentinel-2 imagery. A Sentinel-2 basemap provides up-to-date (about five-day) cloud-free imagery for seeing recent changes. On paid plans a Recent satellite imagery tool shows enhanced (super-resolution) Sentinel-2 scenes, auto-selected as the clearest capture under 20% cloud cover, so users can step through monthly captures of a parcel and check for visible change. Pillar runs in the browser and on iOS and Android, and its tools can be used from ChatGPT or Claude through a connector.
