GeoWGS84's photogrammetry and mapping services produce terrain and base-map data for engineering, GIS and infrastructure projects that need elevation models or mapped features over a defined area. The company, based in Parker, Colorado, collects drone or aerial imagery or orders stereo satellite imagery for each project and processes it into digital terrain models (DTM/DEM), digital surface models, contours, orthomosaics, planimetric vector layers and 3D models.
The collection route sets the accuracy. RTK- or PPK-equipped drones with a project base station and surveyed check points give DTMs of about 3 cm horizontal and 5 cm vertical accuracy; aerial stereo with survey-grade ground control gives up to 15 cm; and 50 cm stereo satellite imagery, which GeoWGS84 states can be collected globally, gives DTMs close to 1.5 m vertical accuracy, depending on terrain and ground control. Satellite DTMs support 3 m (10-foot) contours, 50 cm satellite stereo supports extraction of roads, water features and rough building footprints, satellite stereo DSMs can be generated anywhere in the world, and orthomosaics range from 2 cm drone to 5 m satellite imagery.
For corridor projects (rail, roads, power and transmission lines, pipelines, utilities and irrigation canals) the company orders custom satellite tasking in mono or stereo alongside drone, aerial or LiDAR collection. Outputs are delivered as raster and vector layers for engineering and GIS use, with downloadable samples. Work is priced by quote.
