NTRIP Client by Bluecover

NTRIP Client by Bluecover is an Android application from Bluecover Technologies (Portugal) that lets surveying and mapping professionals reach centimetre-level positioning with an external RTK GNSS receiver. An RTK receiver needs a stream of correction data from a GNSS reference (base) station to resolve its position to centimetres; the app supplies that stream from a smartphone. It connects over the internet or a private IP network to a public, commercial or private NTRIP caster, lets the user browse, sort and search the available mount points (including Virtual Reference Station mount points), collects RTCM3 correction messages and pushes them to the receiver's serial port over a USB OTG cable or Bluetooth.

The app has three modes: full operation (corrections in, receiver status out); NTRIP statistics only, which decodes and identifies the message types a caster is sending so that a regional correction network can be evaluated; and receiver only, which tests the receiver and its serial link and includes an NMEA simulator. A receiver dashboard built from NMEA messages shows the fix status (unknown, no fix, GPS, DGPS, float RTK, RTK) and an RTK accuracy estimate, and position points can be saved, exported and shared with metadata.

The app is distributed through Google Play with a free Regular mode with advertisements and a Premium mode with additional professional features. A Premium licence can also be bought directly from Bluecover for EUR 10, an option aimed at users without Google Play payments and at companies ordering licences in bulk.
