NCX Landowner Platform

NCX Landowner Platform is the web account that Natural Capital Exchange (NCX, formerly SilviaTerra) offers to private landowners in the United States, from 40-acre family parcels to properties of several thousand acres. It is aimed at family forest owners, who lack the forestry experts and market access of large timber companies. A landowner maps a property by uploading a shapefile or KML file, selecting parcels or drawing boundaries, and NCX then analyses it automatically. It divides the forest into management stands using remotely sensed data, estimates a forest inventory and timber value, and checks eligibility acre by acre for timber, carbon, tree-planting, conservation, recreation and solar programs. Its data library includes Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (HLS) satellite imagery, the National Land Cover Dataset and the US Forest Service BIGMAP product, alongside soil, topography and weather layers. Forest Forecast, funded by a US Forest Service grant and available in the US South, projects harvest, thinning and grow-only scenarios stand by stand over 30 years against goals such as timber revenue or deer and turkey habitat. NCX Members also get Loss Detection, a weekly satellite-imagery check that emails an alert when significant tree loss appears, and accounts in Mississippi include a Southern Pine Beetle Checkup. Sylvia, an AI forest guide in early preview, answers questions using the property's estimated inventory. Basic tools are free; NCX earns its revenue from paid membership and implementation services, including timber sales coordinated with consulting foresters in its network. NCX reports more than 40,000 landowners served, over 30 million acres analysed and more than $20 million in payments to landowners.
