Nature Reporting is Svarmi's professional service for organisations that must monitor and disclose their impacts and dependencies on nature, under regulations such as the CSRD and EUDR, frameworks such as the TNFD, or their own sustainability goals.
The service has three parts. Nature risk and impact assessments, for a single site or a whole portfolio, identify how an organisation affects and depends on biodiversity, habitats and ecosystem services; they integrate geospatial, ecological and operational data, flag the locations and assets exposed to nature-related risks, and include double materiality assessments aligned with the CSRD. Biodiversity monitoring plans combine remote sensing, field data and citizen science to track ecosystem condition, habitat change and species trends against indicators tailored to the client. Svarmi's earlier pages for this nature-reporting work state that it aggregates multiple sources of earth observation data, 'ranging from satellite data to drones and ground sensors', into a digital twin for consistent monitoring of nature and bottom-up biodiversity reporting; no satellite mission is named. TNFD and ESG reporting support uses a LEAP-based structure and produces outputs for existing ESG reports, sustainability platforms and auditors; Svarmi states its methods follow TNFD LEAP, GRI and CSRD guidance.
Clients choose full-service reporting and monitoring, a collaborative model alongside their own sustainability team, or training so their team can collect and analyse biodiversity data itself, with results delivered into Svarmi's DATACT platform. Svarmi, founded in Iceland in 2013 with an office in Zurich, cites more than a decade of experience in remote sensing, ecological monitoring and spatial data management, and serves infrastructure, industry, energy, agriculture and forestry clients. In a one-year pilot under AB InBev's 100+ Accelerator programme, Svarmi reports measuring and analysing the nature footprint of more than 200 AB InBev brewery sites worldwide to help the brewer prepare for nature-related financial reporting.
