MAPID Platform is the cloud GIS and location-analytics platform of MAPID (PT Multi Areal Planing Indonesia, Bandung). It joins GEO MAPID, a web map and dashboard editor for uploading, visualising and analysing spatial data, with FORM MAPID, a form builder for geotagged field surveys that can be filled in offline and sync to the platform once back online. Users upload GeoJSON, Shapefile, CSV or XLSX data, create layers from external APIs, run tools such as radius, isochrone, elevation and grid point counts, build Business Intelligence dashboards, publish projects and serve their layers as GeoJSON through API keys.
Besides demographic and point-of-interest data for site selection and site analysis, MAPID publishes national layers it has produced from satellite data for use in GEO MAPID: vegetation health (NDVI) from Landsat 8 for 2013 to 2021, urban heat island zones from Landsat 8 thermal data for 2013 to 2022, a Landsat 8-based remote sensing ecological index (RSEI) covering 516 cities and regencies, and night-time light from VIIRS imagery for 2012 to 2023 at 500 m resolution. Users can combine these layers with their own data and with MAPID's demographic data. The platform works without them for surveys and business location analysis.
It is sold in three plans: GEO Studio (Rp 99.000 per month), GEO Intelligence (Rp 697.000 per user per month, adding site selection, site analysis, SINI AI and demographic and POI data) and GEO Enterprise (custom price, with on-premise service, API integration, custom development and a dedicated data engineer). MAPID's site shows client stories from the Ciliwung Cisadane river basin authority (BBWS Ciliwung Cisadane) and the state railway KAI, and logos of users including Kementerian PUPR, DPRKP DKI Jakarta and Ajinomoto.
