Kuva Sense is Kuva Space's planetary intelligence platform, currently offered as a BETA through an early-access programme. It is aimed at operational and management teams in food security, environmental protection and safety and security who need timely, interpretable intelligence rather than raw imagery.
The platform is fed by Kuva Space's own Hyperfield constellation. Hyperfield-1A (launched August 2024) and Hyperfield-1B (June 2025) are 6U CubeSats carrying a patented 2D snapshot hyperspectral imager with an in-orbit tunable Fabry-Perot interferometer, covering 475-950 nm (VNIR) with up to 160 tunable bands at 25 m resolution and a 50 km swath. In-house AI processes the data automatically and, according to the provider, the dashboard updates within 1-2 hours of capture without manual satellite tasking. Insights also draw on third-party data such as weather and AIS, and on 25 years of archived satellite observations.
Users get dashboards, forecasts (such as crop yields or water-quality trends) and customisable alerts. Hyperspectral data products are offered at Level 1B, 1C and 2A as GeoTIFF with a JSON metadata sidecar, readable with Kuva Space's open-source Python library. Solution areas include crop health and yield forecasting, CAP compliance, crop insurance, aquaculture water quality and site selection, carbon and ecosystem monitoring, and vessel detection for maritime security.
In the BETA, users receive free sample data and insights for preselected locations under an evaluation licence; analytics for custom areas are a paid service arranged with the sales team. API access is not offered during the BETA. Kuva Space says the platform was developed with partners including the Finnish Food Authority (agriculture) and Kelp Blue (aquaculture). Kuva Space is ISO/IEC 27001 certified.

Kuva Space
Kuva Space is a Finnish Earth observation company that builds and operates Hyperfield, a constellation of hyperspectral microsatellites, and combines its data with artificial intelligence. Its Kuva Sense platform turns hyperspectral and other data into near-real-time forecasts, alerts and insights, delivered through a dashboard or API, for agriculture, aquaculture, environment and carbon, and safety and security. It also supplies hyperspectral data to the EU Copernicus programme as a Copernicus Contributing Mission and is an awardee under NASA's Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition programme.
