HUBMET is a meteorological data management solution from Meteo France International (MFI), a subsidiary of Météo-France, and the evolution of MFI's TRANSMET automatic message switching system. It covers the full data lifecycle of a meteorological service and is built around current and emerging WMO standards, with native support for the WIS2 framework for publishing, discovering and exchanging met data.
HUBMET handles heterogeneous sources in a single processing chain: observation networks, numerical weather prediction (NWP) models, satellite, radar, lightning and aeronautical data. It supports REST APIs, MQTT, HTTP(S), (S)FTP and S3 object storage, can consume the SADIS APIs to retrieve aeronautical data, and supports AFTN/AMHS messaging for integration with established ICAO infrastructures.
The solution brings together four components:
Its predecessor TRANSMET has been supplied to national meteorological services, aviation authorities and defence customers, including the Kenya Meteorological Department, ASECNA, the India Meteorological Department, the Mauritius Meteorological Service, NATO and France's Direction Générale de l'Armement (DGA) with Airbus Defence & Space.
