HawkEye 360 Signals Intelligence Data & Analytics gives defence, intelligence and national-security agencies a commercial, unclassified source of radio-frequency (RF) intelligence from space. Airborne ISR is limited by cost, access and overflight restrictions, and non-cooperative vessels can disable or spoof AIS, leaving gaps in what agencies can see.
HawkEye 360 operates its own constellation of more than thirty satellites orbiting at about 500 km. The satellites fly in clusters of three and geolocate emitters by time-difference or frequency-difference of arrival (TDOA/FDOA). Raw signal data is processed in a secure cloud environment, where algorithms and machine learning detect emitters, assess their class and reveal patterns of activity. Customers subscribe to daily downloads of signals data by direct delivery or cloud-based access, and customer-facing APIs, including a Collections API, are used to arrange and track orders.
The data and analytics are packaged as mission product suites: Maritime Intelligence (vessel identification from RF signatures, speed and course estimates, and RF-AIS correlation to expose dark or spoofing vessels), Air Defense Radar Monitoring, GNSS Interference Detection (locating jammers and spoofers) and Communications Mapping (push-to-talk radios and satellite phones). Subscriptions can include program management, tailored training and analyst support.
Named users include NOAA, whose GOES Data Collection System was cleared of interfering transmitters after HawkEye 360 geolocated them; the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office, under its Commercial RF Capability Augmentation program; and the Indian Navy and regional partners, which receive the RFGeo data product through SeaVision.

HawkEye 360
HawkEye 360 provides space-based signals intelligence to defense, intelligence and national security agencies of the US Government and allied partners. Its constellation of more than thirty satellites, flying in clusters of three in low Earth orbit, detects, geolocates and characterizes radio-frequency emissions worldwide, and its signal processing and AI-powered analytics turn this data into products for maritime intelligence, air defense radar monitoring, GNSS interference detection, communications mapping and spectrum monitoring. The company was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia.
