Global Insights is AIRMO's methane intelligence platform for continuous monitoring of methane emissions across oil and gas asset portfolios. AIRMO states that most methane inventories reported by operators lack accuracy and are significantly underreported, leaving operators, investors, lenders and insurers without independent, asset-level numbers.
The platform continuously ingests public satellite feeds (Copernicus, NASA, GOSAT and other missions; AIRMO names Sentinel-2 and MethaneSat as sources for its Global Insights report), alongside AIRMO's own survey data, including drone surveys that verify detections at component level, and processes them with proprietary machine learning. Its algorithms attribute detected methane enhancements to specific facilities, operators and shareholders using georeferenced asset databases, and quantify each detected event in kg/h. Users see super-emitters and facility-level emission events, methane-intensity benchmarks by asset, company and region, financed emissions with equity attribution, and regulatory compliance status. Results are delivered through a web dashboard with real-time alerts, as monthly customised reports, and via an API for integration into third-party dashboards.
AIRMO states coverage of more than 100 major oil and gas companies globally. AIRMO SARL's profile in the Luxembourg Space Agency's space directory, which lists Global Insights as its product, names TotalEnergies, Enercity and Uniper among its main customers, alongside Deutsche Umwelthilfe and Changing Markets. Outputs support the OGMP 2.0 top-down verification layer for Level 5 reconciliation, asset-level KPI verification for importers under EU Methane Regulation 2024/1787, and MRV for financial institutions' SFDR, CSRD, EU Taxonomy and EBA disclosures, with OGMP 2.0 and EU reporting templates auto-populated. From Q1 2027 AIRMO plans to add measurements from its own LiDAR + SWIR satellite, which it specifies with a 50 kg/h detection threshold and a 20 km swath.
