Geospatial Analytics

Geospatial Analytics is SATPALDA's project-based analysis service for governments, enterprises and research organisations that need to detect patterns, monitor land change and evaluate risk across large areas. SATPALDA, a New Delhi company founded in 2002 and a partner of Vantor (formerly Maxar), Axelspace and Synspective, has its GIS engineers combine satellite imagery, remote sensing data and GIS to deliver change detection, terrain and elevation (DEM/DTM) analysis, network and suitability analysis, and predictive spatial modelling with statistical and machine-learning methods. The same service line covers GIS and land-use/land-cover mapping, satellite data consulting, interpretation of optical, SAR and hyperspectral data, and custom Web GIS dashboards and portals.

Its published case studies show the inputs and outputs: a SAR-first flood and debris assessment in Nepal using Synspective StriX X-band radar, validated with high-resolution optical imagery; flood vulnerability modelling for Lakhimpur, Assam from DSM/DTM building-height extrusion; rooftop solar potential mapping from Vantor's Precision 3D bundle (50 cm true ortho, DSM and 3D mesh); stubble-burning detection from Sentinel-2 with over 92% accuracy; and crop-condition maps that pair Sentinel-1 VH backscatter with Sentinel-2 NDVI and NDRE. Projects listed by the provider include 30 cm orthorectified imagery, a 1 m DTM and land-cover vectors for a railway corridor, and an aerodrome mapping database. Stated applications span agriculture, urban planning, infrastructure and utilities, mining, disaster risk and environmental monitoring.
