FieldLook is a satellite-based crop monitoring platform from eLEAF, the Wageningen company that since June 2026 operates as part of Terramira. It gives farm managers and agribusinesses weekly figures on crop growth and water use, so underperforming zones and water stress can be acted on during the season.
The platform runs eLEAF's PiMapping technology, which solves the surface energy and water balance with the SEBAL and ETLook algorithms. It combines multispectral and thermal satellite observations (for its FruitLook deployment, Sentinel-2, Landsat 8 and 9, VIIRS and MODIS) with meteorological data. Rather than indices alone, it reports physical units: evapotranspiration and its deficit (mm/week), biomass production (kg/ha), water use efficiency, leaf nitrogen and NDVI, per 10 m or 20 m pixel, field or farm.
Users import field boundaries as shapefiles and view maps, season graphs and field comparisons on desktop or mobile. Each field is benchmarked against fields of the same crop variety and against earlier seasons. Rules can trigger daily email alerts, advanced users can send field actions to workers via WhatsApp, and data can be exported to Excel or as TIFF and PNG rasters. An API lets developers integrate FieldLook into their own systems.
FruitLook, the FieldLook instance for the Western Cape of South Africa, has been offered to farmers there at no cost by the Western Cape Department of Agriculture since 2010-2011. Paul Clüver Wines reports using about 20% less water, and Lochlo Farm reports a 30% yield increase after almost four years of FruitLook.

Terramira
Terramira is an Earth Intelligence company formed in June 2026 when NEO, eLEAF and 52impact merged under one name, headquartered in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. It turns satellite imagery, Earth observation and sensor data into data layers (crops, water, trees, buildings, parcels and more, delivered by API and geospatial files), ready-to-deploy intelligence such as crop climate risk and water productivity reporting, and advisory services. Its clients include agribusiness, food and beverage and energy companies, international organisations such as the World Bank and the United Nations, and local and national governments.
