Eoagri is GMV's catalogue of agriculture-related geo-information products derived from satellite Earth observation data. It gives growers, agroforestry operators, agricultural financiers and public bodies parcel-level information on crop condition, productivity, land use and soil carbon over large areas.
Agriculture products include crop health indicators (vigour, leaf area index and fAPAR, nutritional balance, humidity), parcel alerts, dry matter productivity and yield estimation; viticulture products that combine satellite indices with in-field soil hygrometer and weather-station data (soil water content, irrigation needs, disease risk, fertilisation demand, yield forecast); and agricultural-financing layers such as 10-metre crop type maps, parcel delineation, and crop rotation, cover crop and tillage detection. Agroforestry products count orchard trees and assess per-tree health from very high resolution optical satellite or UAV imagery, and map commodities, biomass and yield. Agropastoral products track evapotranspiration, pasture biomass and condition. Carbon products support carbon farming and MRV, from soil organic carbon mapping to forest clearance detection and its impact on carbon stocks.
Methods combine satellite time series with meteorological data, a Light Use Efficiency model and machine learning. In published work with the winery Pago de Carraovejas, GMV's yield model used historical Sentinel-2 time series and reached 91% (2020) to 95% (2022) accuracy against actual grape intake. Products are downloadable or served through Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) services to any geo-viewer, and can feed farmers' field notebooks. GMV reports 15 years of agricultural EO services used in more than 21 countries; named customers and partners include the European Commission, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, FAO, Borges and Mutti.
