Intelligence and security analysts often work across disconnected systems, one per data source, which slows analysis and leaves blind spots. EMDYN Phalanx (also marketed as EMDYN Platform) is a geospatial intelligence fusion application that brings these sources into a single map-based workspace with a shared timeline.
The platform ingests, pre-processes and normalises incoming data and correlates it in space, in time and by entity. Layers include optical and SAR satellite imagery from multiple commercial constellations, AIS vessel tracks, ADS-B flight data, geolocated RF/SIGINT emissions, open-source information and the client's own classified databases and sensor feeds. Analysts can task satellite imagery directly from the map: EMDYN states access to more than 260 satellites from numerous imagery providers, with collection in as little as two hours. Published supplier agreements include Planet (near-daily global imagery and taskable SkySat satellites, three-year contract announced in 2025), BlackSky (Gen-2 imagery with API-enabled tip-and-cue tasking, 2025) and Airbus (Pléiades and SPOT optical imagery from the Living Library archive, searched via API).
EMDYN, founded in 2008 with offices in Switzerland and Belgium, onboarded its first government customers on the platform in 2018. Its stated markets are defence and national security, critical infrastructure, maritime security, oil and gas, mining, financial due diligence and insurance risk, NGOs and healthcare, where a provider study presents the platform for pandemic planning and response; it does not name its clients.
