DynaCrop is a crop-monitoring and prescription-mapping service for precision agriculture, developed by World from Space in Brno, Czech Republic. It turns satellite observations into agronomic information for fields that users register as polygons: more than 20 vegetation, soil and moisture layers (such as NDVI, leaf area index, canopy water content and a soil moisture index) with time series and historical data from 2018, field and farm reports with growth-stage predictions and attention hotspots, management zones for variable-rate fertilising and seeding, and representative soil sampling zones.
The layers are computed from Copernicus Sentinel-2 and PlanetScope multispectral imagery (3-10 m, daily or weekly revisit) and Sentinel-1 radar, combined with weather and terrain data. A beta feature, Laica, available on request, uses deep learning to combine Sentinel-1 radar with optical data, filling cloud gaps so that crop information is available every two days.
Outputs are served through a white-label REST API with Swagger and ReDoc documentation, Python and PHP SDKs, an experimental QGIS plugin and Leaflet examples, or delivered on demand as Shapefile, GeoJSON, GeoTIFF or map tiles. Field trial design and evaluation is also offered as a service. World from Space names ADW Agro (Farm Effect platform, Czechia), Paul-Tech (Estonia, UK), Bayer Mexico and Livona (Serbia) as customers, and reports that field trials over three seasons with farms and Mendel University showed input savings of up to 15% with yield increases of 4-7%. The service works worldwide and is sold as an annual subscription priced by registered area, with prices quoted on request and a 30-day free trial.
