brAInt is an e-GEOS platform for satellite imagery intelligence (SAT-IMINT). It guides analysts through the whole exploitation cycle, from the request for a satellite acquisition to the final report, so that intelligence and defence institutions, business-intelligence users and owners of a COSMO-SkyMed Commercial User Terminal (CUT) can extract information on border security, critical infrastructure and changes on the ground without assembling the processing chain themselves.
At its core is a workflow management system that assigns tasks to operators and runs automated steps. Standard end-to-end workflows cover target analysis, monitoring, discovery, damage assessment and mission planning, and can be tailored to each user. Three components support the cycle: Collector (RFI-driven data collection planning), Producer (automatic generation of analysis-ready data) and Analyst (image analysis and report generation). The platform works with SAR and optical satellite imagery, including COSMO-SkyMed; a published sample damage-assessment report over Mariupol was built from Copernicus Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 time series. e-GEOS's AI deforestation-detection algorithm (DRIAS), which runs on COSMO-SkyMed SAR data, is integrated in brAInt for persistent-area monitoring and is used by several South American clients to monitor the Amazon forest.
brAInt is offered in two ways. It can be installed at the user's premises in online or offline environments, with configuration, custom-built workflows, operational support and maintenance. Or it can be bought as a service (braaS), in which e-GEOS analysts deliver SAR analysis-ready time-series stacks, GIS-ready products, SAR analytics such as equipment counting and oil-tank measurement, and IMINT reports as maps, information or measurements. Components integrate with COTS or proprietary software and can be supplied as stand-alone modules, and e-GEOS runs modular SAR and IMINT training courses, including platform usage.
