BoxMica Intelligence as a Service

BoxMica Intelligence as a Service is a fully managed site-monitoring service for users who need time-sensitive information about activity at distant sites, regardless of weather or daylight. BoxMica, based in Melbourne, Florida, buys imagery from commercial satellite operators and runs 24/7, all-weather EO and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) monitoring with US-developed SAR and EO processing technology. It is a Capella Space Certified Analytics Partner (June 2025) and tasks Capella's SAR satellites; it announced a partnership with ICEYE US in March 2025, and its published site examples credit Umbra SAR imagery. The service detects and classifies aircraft, vehicles and vessels, applies moving target detection and motion correction, runs amplitude change detection, and counts vehicles and other objects at sites such as factories, dams and mines. BoxMica also describes fusing SAR, RF and electro-optical data. Results are delivered as concise, mission-ready reports, which the provider says support decision making "in hours, not days". BoxMica operates in the U.S. Space Force Global Data Marketplace, supporting the Tactical Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Tracking (TacSRT) program. Its largest client is the U.S. Department of War. Its reports have been used by military and law enforcement agencies to track vessels suspected of illegal fishing and to monitor clandestine airstrips, and its first customer was a hedge fund that used an early-warning service on natural gas plants. BoxMica states that it does not produce assessments itself: its reports serve as pre-planning information for the customer's own analysts.
