AV_Halo CORTEX is AeroVironment's intelligence-fusion and analysis environment for defence and intelligence analysts, part of the AV_Halo software platform. It addresses the problem of turning large volumes of publicly available information (PAI) and geospatial intelligence into timely threat warnings. Analysts search curated live and historical data from thousands of global news and social-media sources using natural-language and Boolean queries, then apply text, image, video, network and geospatial analytics: map views, geofencing, automated face and object detection, network visualisation and GPT-powered Insight Agents for conversational queries. PAI-sourced drone-event tracking builds an intelligence picture of drone activity, proximity to assets and evolving threat indicators.
The GeoPoint engine geolocates images and video that carry no embedded metadata from visual cues alone; AV's datasheet reports correct country localisation above 98% and street-level localisation above 50%, with output in KML, GeoJSON, CSV, Excel, PDF and .docx. The Telesto multi-INT module supplies the space input: imagery from civilian and commercial EO and SAR satellites, satellite tasking and detection as a service in partnership with multiple satellite data providers, a harmonised datacube for broad-area search, object and change detection, and SAR-to-EO image conversion.
CORTEX fuses indicators from these passive-intelligence services into emerging- and imminent-threat warnings for command-and-control systems such as AV_Halo COMMAND, and shares intelligence markers with AV_Halo and third-party platforms. GeoPoint is accessible over the commercial internet and NIPRNet or deployable on-premises, and its datasheet lists NGA, SOCOM and CENTCOM among current customers.
