Aurora by Pixxel is a browser-based Earth observation studio from Bengaluru-based Pixxel, operator of the Firefly hyperspectral satellite constellation. Pixxel built it to remove the steep learning curve, cost and training burden of traditional GIS and remote-sensing software, bringing imagery ordering, processing, analysis and visualisation into one platform with no software to install.
Users draw or upload an area of interest and search imagery from Pixxel's Firefly satellites (135 bands, 5 m) and its two technology-demonstration satellites, alongside open datasets from Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Landsat 8 and 9, MODIS and EO-1 Hyperion. They can order archive scenes or task new Firefly captures, including recurring tasking. Analysis is no-code: 20+ preset spectral indices such as NDVI and NDWI, custom indices and band composites, split-screen comparison, spectral and temporal graphs, and Pixxel-trained models for crop stress, crop classification, farm boundaries, land use and land cover, change detection, forest above-ground biomass, tree species and water quality. Drag-and-drop workflows automate repeated jobs, and Aurora Intelligence, a natural-language assistant, helps search imagery, generate visualisations and build workflows.
A documented REST API covers tasking, STAC-based archive search, orders, insights and workflows, and imagery can be exported to Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob Storage. Pixxel markets Aurora to agriculture, environment and forestry, energy, government and mining users. Pricing is published: a free Standard plan, per-user Professional and Enterprise subscriptions, and pay-as-you-go tokens for model runs and imagery, priced per km².

Pixxel
Pixxel builds and operates the Firefly constellation of hyperspectral Earth-observation satellites, which capture 5-metre imagery in more than 135 spectral bands with daily global revisit. It sells this imagery and Aurora, a browser-based Earth Observation Studio for tasking, ordering, analysing and visualising satellite data, and also builds satellite platforms for commercial and sovereign missions.
