Ambee Pollen API is a global pollen dataset for businesses whose products, campaigns or demand depend on allergy conditions. It provides individual counts and risk levels (Low, Moderate, High, Very High) for more than 30 tree, grass and weed allergens, with present conditions refreshed hourly, forecasts refreshed daily up to 30 days ahead, and a historical archive from 2015. Ambee states coverage for any location on land at 5 km resolution, with sub-kilometre resolution and ZIP, DMA or custom boundaries on request; its API documentation lists species-level detail for North America, the UK, Europe and Australia/New Zealand.
The data is produced by the Ambee Climate Engine, which trains separate regional machine-learning models on historical pollen records, weather, vegetation indices, land cover and plant phenology, then post-processes and combines them into one output. Ambee's source attribution for pollen lists NASA Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) satellite data alongside NOAA's GFS and HRRR models, the ICON model and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service. Ambee reports up to 93% correlation with ground-truth measurements and validates its forecasts against more than 1,200 reference stations.
The data is delivered through a REST API with present, history and forecast endpoints, webhook alerts, pollen map tiles for Mapbox, ESRI, Leaflet and OpenLayers, flat files (CSV, NetCDF, GRIB, Parquet) and marketplaces including Snowflake, Databricks, Datarade, The Trade Desk and Google Cloud. Ambee names Kimberly-Clark, Boots, Innovid, Adylic and Sanofi's Allegra Airways among the users of its pollen data, for allergy alerts, ad targeting, demand forecasting and low-exposure route planning.
