CGX AERO's Air Navigation Services is a consultancy line that helps airports, airlines and air navigation service providers (ANSPs) implement part or all of their Aeronautical Information Management (AIM), from data collection to published charts.
Its instrument flight procedure designers carry out aeronautical and impact studies and design GPS-based RNAV, RNP and RNP-AR procedures alongside conventional NDB, VOR and ILS approaches and SID/STAR trajectories. Maintenance contracts cover annual assessments and reviews under ICAO and EASA requirements. Data collection ranges from tailored obstacle surveys to full eTOD surveys by ground survey, LiDAR and photogrammetry from aircraft, UAV and satellite; the data is validated and converted into AIXM 4.5/5.1 datasets, with ARINC 816 and ARINC 424 output. The team produces airport, obstacle, enroute, IFR and VFR charts and can act as a complete AIM office. For heliports, including hospital helipads, it covers design, compliance and PinS approaches and departures. At Orléans Loire Valley Airport, where CGX AERO has designed RNP approaches since 2009, LPV minima were added two years later and later lowered below 250 ft after precision-approach certification. For the wind power industry it determines suitable wind-farm areas and maximum turbine heights.
For BHANSA, CGX AERO, Tecno Engineering 2C and Ecoplan designed satellite-based PBN procedures at Mostar, including an RNP (AR) approach, in use since 21 March 2024; BHANSA's director reports over 90% of departures and more than 75% of approaches flying them. In Djibouti, Pléiades Neo satellite images were used to digitise airport infrastructure in AIXM 5.1 for the eAIP update. CGX AERO states it is endorsed by ICAO and EASA for IFPD activities.
