SatVu's HotSat satellites deliver high-resolution commercial thermal infrared imagery at up to 3.5 m ground sampling distance, captured day and night by a Mid-Wave Infrared sensor (3.7-5 um at night, 4.5-5 um by day) and available as stills or as video clips of up to 60 seconds. Pixels are supplied as relative digital numbers - zero is the coldest pixel in the scene - which are colour-mapped in GIS software. Users access imagery through the self-service SatVu Platform, a RESTful API and a Python SDK, receiving Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs with STAC-format JSON metadata, and can either task new collections (standard or assured priority, each with a feasibility check and a price estimate before ordering) or buy from the priced archive catalogue. Key verticals are economic monitoring of energy and commodity assets (gas flaring, refinery, power-station and mine activity), urban heat and climate resilience, national security, and critical-infrastructure and solar-farm inspection. HotSat-2 entered commercial operations in June 2026, and SatVu is scaling toward an eight-satellite constellation offering 10-20 revisits per day.

SatVu
SatVu (Satellite Vu) is a London-based Earth-observation company that collects high-resolution thermal infrared imagery of the Earth's surface - as stills and as video clips of up to 60 seconds - at up to 3.5 m ground sampling distance, by day and by night. Its HotSat satellites measure surface heat patterns worldwide, supporting national security, economic monitoring of energy, industrial and commodity assets, and climate resilience work such as urban heat, gas flaring and wildfire monitoring.
