Satellite-powered methane super-emitter detection and quantification for operators and regulators

Kayrros Methane Watch combines multi-satellite imagery (Sentinel-5P/TROPOMI, Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3, Landsat 8/9, EnMAP, EMIT and commercial sensors) with proprietary machine-learning algorithms to automatically locate, quantify and timestamp methane super-emitter events (≥10 kg/hr) at both asset and basin scale. Daily monitoring covers onshore oil, gas and coal operations globally, with historical data accessible from March 2019. Emission events are attributed to specific facilities within approximately two days of detection. Results are delivered via an interactive web dashboard with satellite imagery overlays, plus REST and Python API access for programmatic integration. The platform serves energy operators needing rapid leak mitigation and disclosure support, as well as regulators and institutions such as UNEP's International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) and its Methane Alert and Response System (MARS).
