Web-based geospatial information system and dashboard using Earth Observation for decision support across climate, urban and land planning.

The Green Meridian Information Factory (GTIF) Dashboard is an ESA-funded webGIS demonstrator covering the UK, Ireland and France. Coordinated by University College London with partners EarthDaily Analytics, Compass Informatics/Tracsis Geo Intelligence and Surrey AI, it ingests satellite imagery and derived products across five thematic domains: Energy Transition (bifacial solar farm siting using surface albedo and cloud modelling), Mobility Transition (street-level PM2.5 air quality at ≤250 m resolution), Food Systems (1–3 month drought prediction for croplands from multispectral data), Carbon Accounting (fugitive methane detection and quantification using Sentinel-2 SWIR and the EarthDaily constellation), and Sustainable Cities (surface urban heat island mapping and building-level heat-loss assessment via Landsat and SatVu thermal imagery). Results are surfaced through a single unified web-based geospatial dashboard with interactive maps, time-series charts and narrative story views, enabling non-technical decision-makers in national government, regional/local services, NGOs and private finance to explore and apply EO-derived indicators without specialist software. The platform is freely accessible as a demonstration and targets public authorities, urban planners, renewables developers and researchers seeking decision-ready intelligence for green-transition planning.

Green Meridian Information Factory (GTIF UKIF Demonstrator)
A demonstration project funded by the European Space Agency to develop a web-based geospatial information system (webGIS) and analytics for the land areas of the UK, Ireland and France. It uses Earth Observation data and advanced analytics to provide decision support for climate change adaptation, urban planning, energy transition, agriculture and carbon accounting.
