Digital Elevation Model

DHI's Digital Elevation Model service delivers tailor-made Digital Surface Models (DSM) or bare-earth Digital Terrain Models (DTM) at resolutions from 50 cm to 30 m, derived from stereoscopic satellite imagery. Outputs are provided in ready-to-use GIS formats with optional additional layers including contour lines, hydrological enhancements, and satellite imagery overlays. Ground control points can be incorporated to improve absolute accuracy. Primary applications include flood modelling, UAV/aircraft flight planning, and onshore wind resource assessment. The service is faster and more cost-efficient than traditional LiDAR surveys or field-based surveying, while offering greater detail than freely available datasets such as SRTM.
