Visual Intelligence Platform (VIP)

The Visual Intelligence Platform (VIP) is Geospatial Insight's in-house online GIS: a cloud-based, interactive platform for visualising, sharing and analysing satellite, aerial and drone imagery alongside other geospatial datasets in customisable geographic workspaces. It runs on a UK-based cloud service, removing the overheads of supporting and maintaining in-house systems, and its architecture allows rapid development of new, client-specific functionality. The provider names applications including post-event damage analysis, real-time routing, power grid analysis and dashboard analytics, and has demonstrated VIP as a disaster avoidance and monitoring tool for the Norilsk fuel spill.

VIP is also the delivery platform for several of the provider's own services: (RE)ACT catastrophe-response damage assessments, FireWatch wildfire monitoring, commissioned drone imagery, and a UK flood early-warning configuration that integrates weather, river gauge and flood alert feeds, social media analytics and securely held client data such as addresses, exposures and claims.

• Configurable Workspaces: A highly configurable interface that can follow an organisation's brand guidelines, with an easy-to-use dashboard and advanced visualisation tools.
• Multi-Source Visualisation: Import, visualise and filter geographic datasets, and overlay vector points, polygons, polylines and proprietary data layers on imagery or topographic base maps.
• Drone Video Analysis: Video analysis synchronised with drone telemetry.
• Mobile Access: Fully responsive design and a VIP mobile app for retrieving, visualising and analysing workspaces in the field.
• Post-Event Delivery: In the provider's Beirut explosion case study, a building-by-building damage assessment completed within 72 hours was shared with clients through VIP as an interactive geospatial database; flood footprints are delivered in VIP alongside shapefile, GeoJSON and TIFF files.

VIP suits organisations, notably insurers responding to catastrophe events, that need a hosted, UK-based environment to visualise, share and analyse imagery-derived intelligence without maintaining their own GIS infrastructure.
