Pixagri

Pixagri is TerraNIS's precision-agriculture platform for farmers, cooperatives, agricultural advisers and seed companies. It supports three field decisions: when and how much to irrigate, which plots are developing abnormally, and how much nitrogen a cover crop will return to the soil.

The platform combines satellite imagery with plot, soil and weather data. Pixagri Growth and Pixagri Cover Crops automatically acquire Sentinel-2 images throughout the season and compute biophysical parameters. These map the vigour and heterogeneity of each plot, compare plots and seasons, and trigger a notification when a growth anomaly is detected. Pixagri Irrigation, marketed since 2021, runs a daily water-balance model in which satellite data set the crop coefficient and adjust evapotranspiration. It sends SMS or email alerts with irrigation-dose recommendations, is calibrated on maize (grain, seed and sweet), wheat and cotton, and contains the SATIRR technology from Université Cadi-Ayyad, IRD and CNRS. Pixagri Cover Crops estimates cover biomass by satellite and quantifies the nitrogen, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium stored and then released to the soil, based on the MERCI method of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Chamber of Agriculture.

Results are delivered through a web interface, a mobile app with an offline mode and geolocated field notes, and an API. Pixagri connects to Weenat and Sencrop weather stations, and MyEasyFarm integrates Pixagri Irrigation recommendations into its platform. The Euralis cooperative has used Pixagri with its members for irrigation advice for four consecutive years. TerraNIS also builds custom services on request.
