Within Horizon Europe, the Adaptation Mission is one of five EU Missions. HORIZON-MISS-2026-01 is the 2026 work-programme destination supporting Mission implementation. Six city-applicable topics open under it for the 2026 wave: implementing actionable solutions for climate adaptation (CLIMA-02), standardising climate services (CLIMA-03), bridging disaster risk management and climate adaptation (CLIMA-04), protecting cultural heritage from climate impacts (CLIMA-05), climate resilience of inland waterways (CLIMA-06), and supporting local adaptation financing through combined instruments (CLIMA-07). One additional topic (CLIMA-01 National Adaptation Hubs) is national-level only and excluded from this iteration. All topics open 4 February 2026 and close 23 September 2026. Managed by CINEA.
