Earth-i SPECTRUM

Earth-i SPECTRUM is a web-based geospatial intelligence portal that lets users discover, analyse and report on remotely sensed data, particularly satellite imagery, without needing prior GIS expertise. The platform runs on a standard personal computer through an internet browser (the company recommends Google Chrome) and requires no specialist software, with an interface the company likens to being as easy to use as Google Earth. Earth-i launched the AI-enabled SPECTRUM platform in June 2020. SPECTRUM ingests multiple data feeds, including optical, radar (SAR) and infrared satellite imagery sourced from multiple constellations (Earth-i works with providers such as Planet, Airbus, Satellogic, BlackSky and Copernicus), and can fuse these with aerial and ground observations. It supports 2D georeferenced imagery at any resolution, 3D height/surface/slope modelling, and wide-area ground-movement data derived from satellite radar. AI-based object and feature change-detection layers operate across resolution levels, and temporal tools let users scroll through a timeline to watch changes appear on the map. The portal is positioned for asset managers monitoring planning, construction and operation of remote or globally distributed sites such as roads, railways, pipelines, ports and industrial facilities.
